In John 8:39-59, Jesus aggressively confrontis the Pharisees with truth and their lack of relationship with God. He shows Israel they must choose between Him (of God) or their leaders (of the world and Satan).  The words of the Lord Jesus will either agitate and further distance you from Him as the only Way, Truth, and Life or they will be received, responded to, and obeyed.
