Fall 2023 Equip Classes

These are the upcoming semester's Equip Classes and what topics they will be going over.

Facilitated by Ashley Lamb in Room 122

The Book of Ruth
God can seem distant when dreams fade, people die, or careers fail. It may feel like He  slammed the door in your face and walked out for good. No one knows the feeling of abandonment more than Ruth and Naomi. Their story begins with the worst—death, famine, and poverty.  And God remains silent.  But the book of Ruth doesn’t end with despair. The story brims with hope because God works  on behalf of the two widows in ways they least expect. In this 7-part series, Bianca Juárez Olthoff,  speaker and author of Play with Fire, teaches through Ruth how God moves behind the scenes in  our lives.
(August  23 - October 4)

Facilitated by Jerry Cedrone in Room 123

7 Challenges Men Encounter
It is getting more challenging daily to be a man. Our present culture is redefining manhood  and confusing men in their pursuit of Biblical manhood. But how will you respond? What will  you say and do when the world demands a response? Discover how to respond by rejecting  passivity, accepting responsibility, leading courageously, loving unconditionally, living with integrity, serving humbly, and investing eternally.
(August  23 - October 4)

Revelation
Prayer 618
Few books in the New Testament stir as much interest and as many questions as John’s  Revelation. But Revelation is not a secret code or puzzle to predict the end of the world. It’s a  message to seven ancient churches who were facing persecution. It’s an indictment of earthly  kingdoms that makes the point that every human kingdom eventually becomes Babylon and  must be resisted. The book is filled with visions and images that point to Jesus’ return as the  ultimate King, where he will restore his people and usher in the new creation. This promise  motivates every generation of God's people to remain faithful in the midst of persecution and  hardship.

Facilitated by John Gill, Kevin Thomas, and Dwayne McKee in Room 124

The Book of Romans
The book of Romans is considered by many to be one of the most important books ever  written on the Christian faith. Writing to Christians, the apostle Paul defines the gospel, explores its depths, and discusses its significance and implications for the Christian life.
(August  23 - October 4)
God through Paul called us in Ephesians 6:18 to “…pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all  kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the  Lord’s people.” Wednesday nights are one of the prime times for our prayer team and anyone  else who wants to meet together and both study and practice prayer.
