Signs Leading to Salvation

In two verses (John 20:30-31), the apostle refers to his goal and the apex of his Gospel which is to declare that Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of the world. He declares the seven miracles/signs he recounts in this book as proof of this truth. Empowered by the Holy Spirit in John 20:21-23, John is fulfilling his commission to proclaim Jesus’ judging/saving work which is available to every person based on their belief or unbelief of Jesus’ words and works.
