Classifying Christ Followers

In John 6:60-71 Jesus reveals three distinct groups of “disciples/followers of Christ” in response to His very pointed discourse on Him being the eternal bread and water that we must eat and drink for salvation. These groups were loyal to Jesus to varying degrees, but two of the three groups were actually not believers. How many of us today who call ourselves “Christians/Christ-followers” have actually never responded in true belief to the identity of Jesus and His way to salvation?
