The Triumphal Entry

In John 12:12-19, we see Jesus fulfilling Messianic prophecies in His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Most of the people did not understand that prophecies about the Messiah were only partially fulfilled in Jesus' first advent (coming), while the remainder would not be fulfilled until His second coming.
