In I Peter, the apostle instructs Christians about the incomprehensible gift of being chosen before the foundation of the world for salvation and an eternal inheritance. Therefore Christians are to respond in obedience and conformity to God’s will. In I Peter 4:1-6 we see God’s instructions to obey Him, even in suffering, as we look to Christ and His example.
